The program ended successfully with the FEU Hymn. Family day is the day where students along with their family celebrates in school with fun activities. This year our family day is celebrated with the Junior High School students. There are lots of game booths to choose from. Unfortunately, we only have three tickets for three game booths and we can only go once in the booth. Jail and marriage booth is also added but they are only for the Junior High School students.
But there are lots more than that. Face painting, bull riding and zorb ball is present too. We have to choose between bull riding and zorb ball because we only have one ticket for the extra activities. I actually rode the zorb ball. It is fun but also tiring, it’s hard to move when the ball doesn’t have that much air. You have three minutes to enjoy rolling while you’re inside the ball, you have to control the ball. It is not only tiring but it’s also hot inside. I had lots of fun during our family day, even my parents had so much fun. My most favorite part of celebrating family day is riding the zorb ball. Even though we spend lots of time in school, we shouldn’t forget to spend time with our family during weekends. I know weekends is a short time but we wouldn’t realize that if we make time pass with our family. That’s why schools have family day, the purpose of it is for students to have fun with their family because they spend almost a week in school. So, for me family day is also the bonding time of every family. Let me ask this question, what is family day for you? When it was Thursday, February 8, 2018, it was the Foundation Week of the FEU Diliman Grade School. It was the day of the Marching Band Festival. Of course, some had the trumpets, while the others had drums. They all showed off their eye-catching uniforms. There were even girls dancing in front of the band.
The first band was wearing orange and red uniforms and carrying the flag of fire. They have the attention of the people, they even had a little cute girl and boy with them dancing. After them was the Caloocan Band wearing blue and white uniform. They were all from Caloocan, but the difference with the other bands is that they did not have a dancer with them. After they were finished with their start off songs, all the grade school students stood up as they played altogether the Philippine National Anthem. This was followed by the FEU band that used musical instruments such as the lyre and a piano. They played a beautiful slow song while a performer danced gracefully with a flag. The next band played “Dahil Sayo" by Inigo Pascual and “Despacito" by Justin Bieber, Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi with all the girls dancing along with the music. The last band played the “Secret Love” song. Almost everyone were singing while the band was playing. It was a great day to celebrate music for they are the nicest and most talented musical bands we have ever heard. |
